GREATER GOODS: A SEASONAL, LOCAL EDIBLE GIFT SHOPPE
POPS UP IN KAKA`AKO DECEMBER 8TH

Honolulu, Hawaii - GreenWheel Food Hub and R/D Interisland Terminal collaborate to host Greater Goods: A Seasonal, Local, Edible Gift Shoppe, a showcase of unique locally crafted food products from a diverse group of creative culinary minds. The pop-up Shoppe will be held at R&D, 691 Auahi Street in Kaka’ako on December 8th from 4:00pm-8:00pm. It will be an opportunity for holiday shoppers to find one-of-a-kind unconventional food gifts while "shopping small" and supporting Hawaii’s local economy. 

Greater Goods offerings include:

  • A selection of drool-worthy Food-centric books from R/D Interisland Terminal
  • Gourmet pickles, marmalades, and preserved local produce from the GreenWheel Goods line of jarred products.
  • Specialty cheeses from Naked Cow Dairy not otherwise available on the market
  • Gift baskets from Hello Makana featuring a curated selection of local products
  • Charcuterie & Patés from Chef Quinten Frye & Charcutier Doug Kocol of SALT Honolulu featuring local meat
  • Baked goods featuring the use of locally sourced flour by Rikka Brunner
  • Kaya Jam and mouthwatering creations from Pig & The Lady
  • A Taste of Taste: place-based treats including candied local ginger and hand-picked Mamaki tea from Chef Mark Noguchi of Pili Hawaii and  Taste Table, Kaka'ako
  • A raffle for a gift basket featuring items from all of the Shoppes vendors!
  • A shipping kiosk and for-donation gift-wrap station.
  • A special visit from Pickles the Naked Cow!
GreenWheel Food Hub is a social enterprise with a mission to help Hawaii's residents, especially those in low-income communities, gain better access to fresh, locally-grown fruits, vegetables and staple foods. Gift baskets and wrapping will be available for donation at the event to benefit bringing SNAP/EBT (formerly known as “food stamps”) acceptance to farmers' markets on Oahu.
